Even with a gale coming...
Fishing for kings has remained remarkably strong with boats limiting daily. A thirty three lb king caught on 8/19/2011 is in this picture. This has been a great year for kings and the cohos are strong as well. We are slowing in our saltwater fishing now and preparing for the onslought of cohos in the rivers. Give us a call if you want to talk about stream fishing this season or to book for next year. With the weather being great most of this season and the abundance of salmon and halibut, bookings for next year are already very strong. Don't wait until it is to late to get a good spot.
Tight lines,
Bob And Jeanne Anderson

The coho's are all around us.....
IT's what we call a chamber of commerce day, absolutley beautiful out. For a while the Coho's were starting off in fine fashion, showing the middle of June in few numbers. As July approached we were expecting to see the numbers gain but they did not. Some rough weather limited our travels to explore for fish. Now as the seas and sunshine are great, we have been able to track down coho to the North and South of us. If you've been here when we travel it's normally worth the ride. Many boats are coming in with numbers of coho's a King, sometime 2, along with Hallies and Rockfish. A few boats have able to limit on the Coho's, which is great. From now on out the silvers(coho) should start to move closer to our home fishing grounds and increase in numbers and size. Did you know this time of year the coho's eat and gain 1/2 to 1lb per week! We will watch and fish as the days of summer roll on. Fish ON!

Middle of July Fishers doing well
In our hunt for salmoniods, it seems we pick up most of our bottom dwellers that are just as hungery as everything else. After many years of reduced limits, slot limits ect, I think we are starting to see some positive results. The guests have seen more hitchikers ( lings eating rock fish on the way up ) or eating smaller lings trying to get away! Yesterday one of fishers caught a Cabezon, looks like a little ling, We do not see many Cabezons as there are in Northwest waters. Also a big Wolf eel hit the docks. There are UGLY, but excellent eating. Our Chef Tim prepared most of it for appitizers that night, wow!Lots of Black Bass going up to the 4 lb range. Also Vermillion's, china rocks, and other assorted dwellars of the deep. Also in the last few days a couple of BIG lings have caught and released, talking in the 45-50 pound range, these were mommies and the cleints, guides decided ( as well as regulations ) that it's important to future stocks to release. Keep the tips up, you never know what the next drop will bring! Having trouble with downloading pictures right now, stay tuned.
